    Default T-Mobile Slams iPhone 4S in Ads and on Website

    T-Mobile’s holiday marketing strategy? Bash the iPhone 4S.

    It appears T-Mobile’s has developed some bitterness toward Apple. Being the only major carrier in the U.S. without the iPhone must be tough. A slew of advertisements have started popping up around the Internet highlighting “advantages” Android devices have over the iPhone 4S. T-Mobile even has a “Android vs iPhone” page on their website with the headline “The heavyweights are here” followed by:

    “Look out, iPhone 4S—meet the rock stars of our Android powered lineup. Surf the web fast, stram your facorite movies on big, beautiful screens and take pictures with great cameras. With phones like these, it’s easy to find your perfect match.”
    No where on the page does T-Mobile actually compare the iPhone 4S and Android devices. The only comparison chart I was able to find compared the MyTouch 4G with the iPhone 4. Not exactly up to date. T-Mobile’s efforts don’t stop with their own website, ads have been popping up across the web bashing the iPhone 4S. Eric Willden—who tipped us off to T-Mobiles shoddy data plan practices last week—sent me the photos below earlier today. He noticed the ads while making his daily internet rounds.

    T-Mobile is taking direct shots at Apples iPhone 4S claiming the Galaxy S II and HTC Amaze 4G are faster “leaving the iPhone 4S in the dust.” Highlighting the advantages your phones have over a competitor's is smart, but lying about speed is another thing. T-Mobile isn’t helping their iPhoneless status with their latest marking blitz.

    Remember when they did this with iPad 2?
    Also, look at the sources where the quotes are from "androidcentral"and "androidandme"
    Lol it's like putting a quote on a website saying "iOS blows Android out of the water!" and the source being apple.com. Of course android fans are gonna like android over iOS. Same with iOS fans

    Great post, would read again. Show me one test that puts ANY Android device ahead of the 4S in terms of speed. You are saying that your rooted phone is better than a non-jailbroken iPhone, great logic genius.

    This! So hes saying pretty much that the Galaxy S2 has to be rooted to beat the iPhone 4S in speeds lol. Genius, real genius! On top of that he comes to say statements like that to an iDevice website. Too funny!

    There is some sense in his statement. He likely overclocked, which can only be done with root. Even a jailbroken iPhone cannot be overclocked (at least not be conventional means available to the masses) so, jailbroken or not isn't going to make a difference in speed comparison. Also, rooting allows one to remove bloat, something a stock iPhone doesn't have. So, while the statement was completely out of place here, it really is a valid statement.

    T-mobile do this anti phone or tablet also in europe , where their network is bad , lack of 3g in major cities ect , as for beating the iphone 4s , android phones sadly do that , better screens without the yellow tint , i know the usa is way behind europe mobile wise ( lack of models where as europe kicks the usa's butt on the choice ) but apple's new iphone is not all that we wanted , looks like a rushed job , as the real iphone 5 was not ready , and before snyone says iam an android fan iam not , i own the iphone 4s which was an upgrade to my iphone 4 , which had a much better toned screen , now steves sadly gone i dont see a good future for apple , as for t-mobile they will soon have the iphone when at&t buy out and kick the germans back home

    I test drove the Galaxy and the new iPhone for 2 weeks, iPhone wins. The screen resolution is garbage and the GPS doesn't work. I had 5 android phones, ALL were rooted. Android OS is sketchy and I have had a problem with all my android phones.

    Just try googling and you'll find 100's. No mistake the iPhone is tops for the novice or ease of use with iOS, but NON-rooted android phones are light years ahead of the iPhone itself. Its not even debatable.
    All better phones are Droid Razr, GalaxyS2, Galaxy Nexus, HTC Rezound and then MAYBE the iPhone 4S

    iPhone = 3G, others 4G, LTE
    iPhone = thicker, heavier then others
    iPhone = 3.5" screen, others 4, 4.3, 4.65
    iPhone = 512MB RAM, others 1G
    iPhone = 1GHz dual core, others 1.2 & 1.5GHz dual core

    Yes... this is an iPhone forum, but come on..... 18 months for an upgrade (and probably another 8 more till iPhone 5) and all they could do was release an average phone.

    His logic is correct. Rooting is like jail breaking, however on Android you can overclock it once its rooted, on IPhone you cannot do that. Also non-rooted Galaxy S2 is already faster than IPhone 4S, the Galaxy S2 came out few months before 4S and yet it still has a faster processor and 8 megapixel camera.

    T-mobile should try instead to figure out a way to make a profit., this company has been bought and sold several times now and might be purchased again. If they dont want to play y apple's rules then they cant have the iPhone, they should just move along.

    Here's the thing, it really isn't. All the benchmark tests point to the fact that while the Android phones have speed on paper, in actuality, they do not.

    Looks to me that the Galaxy SII is TWICE as slow as the 4S.

    Until someone can show me some proof of a faster Android device, it's all just fanboyish clamoring.
