I never activated siri in the first place, all activation and notifications are off, no email account set up. my wife took a total of about 20 pictures, and the dang thing shut off. the phone was straight off the charger, and showed full. (not JB)
when i tried to turn it back on, it showed the red PLUG IN screen.
WTF apple?
Now i am starting to understand what the S stands for!

I turned off location and made two full battery charge cycle and it got better but according to recent reports this is because of a software bug so probably I'll just wait for the software apple will provide to improve by battery life. i hope the fix is coming real soon

Update from last post; It wasnt the icloud either. I finally had to stop using my 3gs (old bootrom) as a phone. I took out the sim card and voila! the battery no longer drains. It will go on actual standby and lasted all night on 20% charge. So it's the network setting? and yes I did reset the network settings.
