Why is the pic of an iPhone 4 when the story is about the 4S?
He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

Because posting a picture of the 4s would be unethical.

I remember my co-worker had a HTC evo on sprint, and his "4G" was way slower than my 3G on at&t network

Hey Sprint, in the App store there is an app for "Courage Wolf". Download it! If you can ever get your iPhone to actually download it.

He has a good quote perfect for your current situation!
"Bite off more than you can chew... Then F*@#ing CHEW it!"
Who in the hell is actually running the show over there? You make me feel shame as an American company. You seriously embarrass me.
Sell the damn NASCAR stuff and pull your heads out of the gas fumes on pit road! Build some towers, launch some rockets, or whatever it takes to better that nonsense! You could also show the customer base some appreciation and dedication by moving all of your terrible customer service to the U.S. of A! Get me someone that can speak clear English and reassure me when I call in and report that my speeds rival that of the Pony Express!
And you wonder why THIS is your market value. HERE is a tiny little example of how superb customer service will affect your market value.
Seriously though, you raised hell over the AT&T ~ T-Mobile merger because it would certainly bury you. This kind of stuff coupled with terrible customer service is a recipe for disaster!
I'm really pulling for you though. I guess I just naturally root for the little guy...
OK I'm done. Thanks for allowing me the rant MMi

Everytime I have talked to customer service it has been an american the most recent time I think she said she was in oklahoma or somewhere around there. As far as the speed issue I believe that apple and sprint will get this issue resolved they both have a rep to maintain or improve depending on how you view either company. Sure some people have stated that the sprint network has always been slow but that was before the iphone came to sprint. I think the type of exposure that the iphone brings to sprint will cause them to get off their butt and actually do something about the speeds.
Where as the other phone while supposedly( i say supposedly cause I am a new customer of sprint and have no idea of what their previous speeds were) slow didnt cause as much noise as a slow iphone therefore there was no need for sprint to get up and do something about it.

Does anyone remember when EVERYONE was ******** about how bad a network AT&T was!? And how they wished other networks could sell iPhones, and that they would never use AT&T again!?
I saw this day coming, a mile off!
And it couldn't be funnier :-)

Sprint will fix it. They have a lot of money built up still but they are facing the general hammering of data that a carrier get when taking on a data hog device and a bunch of new users.

This is nothing new to me on Verizon....
That image included is nothing special to me. I have both a droid And
4s and get exactly that same speed. I've been fighting with Verizon
since June. They refused my service ticket. Finally it was rolled into
a parent ticket when more people complained And after them finally
acknowledging the the problem Verizon basically said. We have a
slowdown however we aren't fixing it. I got a one time $50.00 credit
for my three devices (3G laptop as well) for slow speeds. And no real
fix to boot. 'just deal with it until we build more towers' which are
years away. Is not an answer.

Sorry for the necro, but it looks like Sprint still hasn't really done much aside acknowledge that there are some "issues with towers." It seems like it's possibly due to the iPhone itself. Linked are some images showing speeds for my new iPhone 4S and my older Samsung Galaxy S2 (Epic 4G Touch) that I returned to buy the 4S. The map pretty much pinpoints where my building is, definitely within the "best" marker on the map.
Unfortunately I don't have any more results than the two included for my Android device, but they were taken from the same location within a day of each other. Only posting links so I don't destroy the thread.
