All you have to do is kill the app in the multitasking bar and the ads magically disappear

For my ipad first gen, ibooks is essential, no ios5 for me on my iphone 4 because it is not untethered or my pad... Sigh...

i downgraded from ios5 to ios4 because i couldn't get ibooks running... lolz...
i didn't care much for the cydia tweaks that werent compatible yet...
but ibooks not working was a deal breaker for me using the new firmware... hahaha...

I tried that as well (respring few times,)... I did it with OpenSSH and WinSCP first, then with iFunBox (same results).

You should try copying the file and having one in stash and one in the originating applications folder. If that doesn't work, try putting the one in stash and ONLY leave the icons and defaults (loading screens) in the file that's in the applications folder. If you do let me know if either of those worked. Then if you get the icon and the the square icon delete the icon files from the stashed file. I have no idea if that'll work but you never know
