DashBoard for Maps Adds iOS 5 Support [GIVEAWAY]

A month ago, ModMyi touched on a new tweak that was released in Cydia called Dashboard for Maps. DashBoard for Maps offered a ton of new functionality to the Maps application on your iOS device by adding components such as:

• Compass
• Speedometer
• Pedometer
• Change which units to view in (i.e. MPH)
• Display options
• Change what meter shows what

This tweak is great for any type user because it offers a lot more cool features to the Maps application as well as customization from the user (all settings can be changed in Settings < Dashboard for Maps). As eluded to into the previous article, DashBoard for Maps was semi-compatible with the iOS 5 beta, but there were missing parts that didn't work making it pretty obsolete at that point. The major contender was PreferenceLoader, but now that it has been updated for iOS 5, you are at least able to see the settings even if they don't work.



The developer Evan Coleman (@edc1591) has fixed all the various issues with Dashboard for Maps on iOS 5 and has released an update. It hasn't hit the BigBoss repo yet but it should be soon. Dashboard for Maps is a mere $1 and is currently only available on the iPhone 3GS and 4.

you have an alarm set and it will go up there.

Thats the alarm icon. It says you have an alarm active. GO to the clock and set an alarm and that icon will turn up. (iPhone only. iPad doesn't have clock so it wont show up there)

I don't have any customization whatsoever in that regard. It's default like that.

It automatically shows up when you have an alarm set in the clock app.

It signifies that you have an alarm set in the default clock app.
