Activator Adds iOS 5 Actions
Two days ModMyi reported that a ton of staple packages in Cydia, such as PreferenceLoader and Activator, were updated to support iOS 5. At the time, it was thought that these applications were simply updated to support iOS 5 in terms of functionality not necessarily features. Come to find out, thanks to iDownloadBlog's find, that the new Activator that as just released has new actions embedded inside the application that are great for iOS 5 users (or more descriptive, iOS 5 specific).
When you go to set an Activator method and the action it performs on the new Activator version, you'll find that there are two new significant system actions:
- Activate Notification Center
- Compose Tweet
In regards to the Notification Center, you can now change how you bring it up. Change it from the swipe down to whatever action you want. For compose tweet, this change is significant because it allows you to pull up this window from absolutely anywhere without having to have an attachment. Native iOS 5 has excellent Twitter integration, however you're required to have an attachment of some sort in order to activate the window and quickly update your Twitter status (i.e. picture or video).
Go tinker with the new commands in Activator and see what you think!

Saweet! As soon as the untethered JB comes out, I am DFU restoring and JBing. If Activator is ever abandoned what would we do? It is top five for me!

It doesn't crash anymore. It has lost the swipe statusbar left or right ability when in an app that has buttons near the statusbar.
