SGS2 60K test 1, 58.5K test 2 browser tests are garbage though because of how limited the resources are in the browser... now if you could run quadrant on a 4S, now that would be interesting

"Rightware BrowserMark" - is testing web browser rendering performance, and not anything else. It wouldn't be the first time Rightware has (allegedly) skewed their tests in Apple's favor.

I'm curious if playing with the "user-agent" string would have any impact on the numbers...
Yeah, if you read the entire thread that you linked to the OP's test is shown to be completely invalid. Even the people on that forum tell him he is wrong, and he even admits he is wrong. So no, faking the user agent will not have any effect, and rightware has never "allegedly" skewed any tests. To suggest that they have is pure stupidity and drivel.

The entire benchmark is invalid, they are benching against very old versions of Android OS. Try to be impartial next time.

    Shrug.
Yeah. It appears that these particular allegations proved unfounded; but from the thread anyway, it's not altogether certain that the benchmark itself wasn't skewed towards WebKit. Even this theory could be wrong. It's possible the benchmark is a fair and reasonable measure of real performance, but I'd prefer to be called stupid and drivelous, than deny that adverse reports exist.

Ha iPhone 4 is faster than the Galaxy S2, I knew the Galaxy S2 was a P.O.S as Samsung can not make software to go with their hardware whatsoever.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 they tested was on 2.3.1. Mine is on 2.3.4 and my score is 61281 far better than the Iphone 4 on iOS5.

Still significantly lower than the iPhone 4S. Many people mentioned how the S II was a far superior phone than the 4S when Apple first announced their new iPhone. Apparently that isn't the case, at least not in this aspect.

Isn't this just a browser test though? Not that I don't want the iPhone to blow the GS2 out of the water but it doesn't seem like a fair test as far as how fast the actual phone really is, just how fast the browser is.

You are right regarding this benchmark butttttttttt hold on just a bit, I have some more benchmark test results

Let's just say the browser isn't the only place the 4S beats the GS2 out on....

Sorry dude... Ran this on my SGS 2 (gb 2.3.4) on AT&T last night and got 72300. Compared to my 4, it is faster and smoother but still not an iPhone. Getting my 4s hopefully Friday
Anyone know of the Benchmark site is down? Wanted to test my 4 on iOS 5 GM...

How're you enjoying your 4S? Is the speed a noticeable difference to you?
