You must not be able to read since he isn't referring to the guy who posted before him, he clearly stated the author not the person above him. 3D phones are not a gimmick, most of the 3D movies I watch are better than the ones they show in the theaters. My Evo3D is perfect for me. Basically it comes down to personal choice, some people like Android some don't. I think the Android market needs more quality Apps like the iOS. If I can have a dual booting phone that runs both Android and iOS I will be one happy camper

So the man is dead, big deal. That's not gonna stop a company from continue doing its business.

I agree with Go Gators, You people who praise and worship the iPhone have never used top tier Android phones. if you spend a day with any of them you will see just how much the iPhone is lacking. I had the LG Thrill 4G (took it back on day 30 so I could get the Galaxy S 2) and after just 4 weeks with that device I found my iPhone 4 to be seriously lacking., now imagine how much better that experience is with the Galaxy S2 !! Compred to Android, iOS is stale and boring. I get tired of the tethered jailbreaks and the reason I and millions of others jailbreak is to address the many many shortcomings of iOS, Android does all this right out of the box.

Android phones have to have better specs out of necessity to keep up with the efficiency of iOS. When a company is "closed" like Apple it shows in the benefits of amazing optimization and security. The Samsung s2 is a super high end top of the line phone that less than 1% of the market will buy. It's for the super techy person. The great thing about the iPhone is that it's designed for everyone! Not too big.. Not too small.. Affordable for everyone now..trendy..and on top of it all the specs are better than 95% of the market and it outperforms 99% of the market. If Apple made the screen bigger I think it would actually alienate users that don't want to carry around a huge phone.. Especially their female user base. Apple wins.
You're great when you speak in general terms. What specifically does your android do OTB that iOS doesn't now that iOS 5 is out?Last edited by Poseidon79; 10-06-2011 at 06:17 PM.

I kept my iPhone unlimited data plan when I switched over to the SGS2. All they did was change the name of the plan. 4G is not a gimmick to those of us that have access to it. Were I on a tiered plan it would suck because you blow through data at a tremendously higher rate.

I probably have an unpopular viewpoint on the two OS's. I find iOS to be more for the technologically impaired. It is much easier to use than Android (initially) - but far less powerful. I think the ease of use from the get go is what makes iOS so appealing to people. I enjoy my iPod Touch 4G but Apple's close mindedness is a complete turn off and the bullying they are doing will keep me from purchasing another product until they change tactics. It isn't healthy for anyone. I'm glad Samsung has finally decided to grow a pair of balls - I still don't think it's good for them. Samsung can't win.
Android offers an experience that is far more customization than anything iOS will ever allow - even for those that are jail broken. Having said that, the average Android user will never take advantage of that. They are both great Operating Systems and I don't think anyone can deny that. I can't go back to such a small screen and having no access to widgets though. Until Apple addresses those two things and the bullying of the industry I will not buy another product.

Why drive slow when you don't have to? It is very similar to purchasing a newer computer that does things faster than your old computer did. Where 3G/HSPA/HSPA+ are absolutely acceptable the speed difference is amazing.

I dont know why they are going to create such a hype on this, its not much big deal, design may have similarity but I bet Ipad will be much better as the Apple dont take any wrong decision. And they must be aware of this device already.
