iPhone 4S Killer Feature "Siri" Personal Assistant Brings Man One Step Closer to Skynet

Scott Forstall asked the iPhone 4S running Siri "Who are you?"
"A humble personal assistant," Siri replied.
Right....for now.
Apple showed off their latest innovation in mobile technology and surprisingly it wasn't a brand spankin new device, rather it was an incredibly innovative voice command personal assistant application called Siri. On a day when only an iPhone 4S with faster insides and no cosmetic changes was the big hardware announcement, Apple came through in the clutch on the software side of iOS with the Siri personal assistant.
Siri, in the simplest of terms, is a personal assistant. Users can schedule meetings, look up information on the web, text, check the weather, and a ton of other tasks by simply speaking. Memorized commands aren't necessary. Everything done with Siri portratys the illusion of conversation very well, especially compared to other offerings.
Forstall asked Siri "Finde me a great Greek restaurant in Palo Alto," and Siri responded with the following:

This is definitely a step forward in voice-command based computerized personal assistants, especially ones that fit in the palm of your hand. Apple may have disappointed those looking for some newly designed hardware, but for those looking for an improved user experience, they potentially delivered in spades. For me, I'm looking forward to asking Siri, "What is the meaning of life?" My future depends on her answer....

Double the download speeds only works on a network that is not choked half the time. I'm lucky if I get 1.5mbps let alone the 7.2 they think I get. The 4s may give me double that to 3.0mbps.
After 4 years of Iphone loyalty, It looks like verizon and LTE for me. Were getting 14mbps here in NEPA with it and droid does all my important apps that the Iphone does.

BUST

They completely missed the point. New features and extra speed is just not good enough. People want a new package - bigger screen, new design, something a little lateral. Look at samsung with the s2 and the note with radical new size screen, maybe even new category. Only thing of note for me was the cdma/gsm radio and antenna. Now if that meant switching so i could take advantage of what ever was available coverage wise, i might have considered an upgrade but otherwise not interested. I might even pick up a samsung note if and when. After all ive got to wait at least another 9 months for something new from apple
.

They missed it big time.

Jeeesh Apple... what were you thinking? Now I have a whole year to wait for a new phone. I don't want a re-hashed iPhone 4. Giving all the people who were disappointed that there was no iPhone 5 a year to see all those large screen Android phones can't be good for iPhone sales. 4S... pffftf!

I have been wanting something like this since I owned an N-Gage QD back in the Diz-Ay!I don't want to even look at my phone - I just want to talk to it and have it do whatever I want... sexually...Anywho - have the iPod controls been updated? The current controls suck monkey balls - I can't play specific albums and/or songs on my 3GS.tim
