twitter.com/dale1vMicrosoft owns the internet through Hotmail. The .HTML is short for Hotmail, so all .HTML files are MS files.

Why cant someone just port over firefox? or some other type of browser or even make a browser for the ifone or touch. and then just build in Flash support?
Is this something that is not possible?

lmao speeking about safari.. it came out on windows a few days ago
and you know what that means. its going to have to update Itunes soon.
because people would want to put their bookmarks in itunes..
yay
lol..
im using safari on windows right now
its great.. i really want a mac.. i only have a windows and a vista.
oh i forgot ...
yea adobe let us down
buts it inevitable that apple and adobe in the future will have to pair up and do the flash content update.. because sooner or later.. we will get pissed and cause a revolution =D lol..
adobe just probably has to pay alot of money to apple to be partners..Last edited by KeviN | NiveK; 03-21-2008 at 07:57 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

.....
seriously apple what the hell.
Why didnt u announce this before the iphone was released publicly then we'll see how much market share you'd have.
Pretty sure the basis of my purchase for this $600AUD piece of sexy machinery was the fact that you were expanding the iphone via software every so months.
AND now this! your shitting on your customer's faces.
And we still put up with this ****.
**** this. Lets trash every Apple store in the world - until steve listens to USmyRepoSpace.com - Easily create your own Cydia Repo.

Wow, am I the only one that is happy this bloated piece of garbage won't be on my phone? I don't need to dunk the teacher (or whatever) to win an iPhone... on my iPhone.
Flash video sucks compared to H.264
No need for flash games as we can have REAL games
Would drain the battery like there is no tomorrow
Interface is not really usable with just a touch screen for most apps
Everything would have to be rewritten to run well on the iPhone flash, so developers might as well switch over to better more open standards
I just don't get it, why the hell would I want Flash? We already have youtube!
Someone, please try to sell me on this.

That don't sound like a bad idea! I mean if Zodttd is able to make powerful emulators and all these other developers here are making pretty sweet things, I don't see why Adobe couldn't create Flash using the Un Official SDK that you where stating. I think we all need to email Adobe & ask them to possibly try this, or at least work with some skilled developers and possibly make this possible. I really like what you said

If only more people were like you. Flash really doesn't belong on the iPhone for the reasons you mentioned and more. There really is nothing flash can do that can't be done or worked around with. Most importantly, on a phone with an already questionable battery life, adding another service like flash would only make the battery die even faster.
I wouldn't be against a stand-alone flash player, like the one youtube has. Someone else on another forum I visited commented on all these "restrictions" and I have to say I agree with him: they are restrictions in the sense that they're forcing a developer to think of the iPhone for what it really is, a mobile phone. It is not a small computer with unlimited battery life. It really makes them think "well if I want to do this, how can make it within these standards". It's pretty damn smart.
I'm not against flash for the phone, but porting flash as it is right now (especially on Mac OS) is a terrible idea.

I think if flash was on the iPhone it would heighten the user experience, i konw this sounds stupid, but it would totally more interactive!
