Apple Removes Print To PDF App From App Store

Apple giveth and Apple taketh away.
According to Print to PDF's official website Apple has removed the iOS app Print to PDF from the App Store. The application allowed users to save their emails, attachments, websites, and photos as PDF documents by adding "Print to PDF" as a printer to Apple's built-in printing feature.
However, when Apple figured out that Print To PDF accomplished this by using Airprint, Apple's wireless printing feature, Apple yanked the application for The App Store.
The Print to PDF team, via their website, acknowledged they were caught off guard by the actions of Apple, especially since updates to their App have been approved many times before with the the same general functionality. Users who already downloaded the app before it was pulled from The App Store should have no problems using the application, but shouldn't expect any updates or support until Apple and Print to PDF's creators reach an agreement. We regret to inform you that as of August 26th, 'Print to PDF' is no longer available on the Apple App Store. On August 24th, we received a call from Apple Developer Relations telling us that we are not allowed to use AirPrint as a way to print documents to PDF and that for this reason the app could no longer be available on the App Store.

Only a matter of time before all iOS developers flee to Android or Windows Phone 7.

Why would they do that?

Well apple is known to steal other people's ideas. So maybe they will incorporate something like this themselves in future iOS.

Because they keep making stupid rules up for developers so that they can make money. Like that you had to sell books through In App Purchases or you could not put anywhere in your app about purchasing through a thrid party store.
And because iOS 5 was a obvious copy of the jailbreak community's works and some app store apps such as Springpad.

Yep. As soon as I read that Apple have removed it I go get the pirated version. It must be a really useful app for Apple to remove it. Just wait a few months and it'll be part of the iOS thats why they remove it so it doesn't look like they stole the idea which they clearly do.EVERYTHING in iOS comes from either a jailbreak app or a really good useful app thats been removed from the App store.
EDIT: This is how the new site does things. I had it all separated and this above is how it ends up. When I edit it I also get a "(QUOTE=;][/QUOTE)" at the top.
How about go back to the way it was to start with before you started f'ing with the site. The last 2 updates to ModMyI have just brought more and more bugs and it never has looked so good as it first did.
If your going to keep on f'ing with it then how about have the option to have it the first way. the way it worked. Even the mobile version is preferable than this new crap version.Last edited by NakedFaerie; 09-11-2011 at 07:06 AM.

It really is kinda useful. If your not near a printer but you need to print whatever then just save it as a PDF and when you get closer to your printer either print it or send it to your PC or PDF reading app.It really is a very useful app. If it ever comes back on the app store I'll get it. Not sure if its worth heaps of money, maybe $0.99 not $10+ like some of the other PDF apps. Its in the usual places. This is separated and is easily readable. Lets see if the site craps it all together like the last post when I click "Add Comment".
EDIT: Yep it did.
The mobile version is so much better but it refuses to post. I click the "add Comment" button and it does nothing.
Now you have 2 different versions and both have bugs.
I request to have a bugless version. How about the very first one. I never had any problems till the site started changing.

I just looked at the app the other day and didn't feel I really needed it myself. I would rather have a app that will let you make a pdf file and then print it or what ever you want to do with it.
