iPhone 5 Prototype Turns Up Missing in San Francisco Bar

No, you didn't accidentally click on a headline from early 2010. And, no, this isn't a joke. Apple has lost another next-gen iPhone prototype in a fashion eerily similar to the conditions in which the iPhone 4 went missing months before the fourth generation device was meant to be seen in public.
Although no shortage of unanswered questions remain about this developing story out of northern California, here's what we know for sure. Apple is working with police to recover what is presently believed to be a missing iPhone 5 prototype. The device went missing at a bar in San Francisco's Mission District.
An unnamed Apple employee is believed to have lost the device.
Although we're just finding out about the lost iPhone 5 now, he incident reportedly happened in late July. "This year's lost phone seems to have taken a more mundane path,"" CNET confirms in its coverage of this almost too-difficult-to-believe story. "It was taken from a Mexican restaurant and bar and may have been sold on Craigslist for $200. Still unclear are details about the device, what version of the iOS operating system it was running, and what it looks like."
No police report, however, was officially filed by Apple - likely in an effort to keep this development under wraps. For now, Apple isn't offering comment on the matter. But all published reports, and even sources within the San Fransisco PD, confirm one thing - the missing iPhone 5 has not yet been recovered.

So your telling me this guy lost the new iPhone 5 in a bar, same case as last year? Oh and it looks JUST like the iPhone 4 but with a little better camera and a little faster? Yeah I bet the phone was sold on craigslist and I bet the person that bought it thinks its a iPhone 4. Pointless.

groundhog day?????
Did Apple lose its innovation in marketing technique because Jobs left?
Seriously I think this time it is on purpose. Apple saw that not only the sale of iPhone4 was not affected by the "theft", it generated enough hype that it boosted sales for iPhone4.

Not really a big deal....not like it's anything we haven't seen before in terms of design. Pics will be exactly the same.
