Maybe an old rumor, but what about all the machinery that Apple supposedly purchased a while back to make curved glass screens? If that was in fact true, then I would think that something, possibly an iPhone, might have a new form factor....

It's so bad because it would make the entire phone bigger and decrease battery life. Go get a droid if you want a bigger one.
They most likely would. And I have tested this. Now, the iPhone 4 loads safari faster, but web page loading depends mostly on connection speed.Last edited by Donnutt; 08-31-2011 at 07:50 AM.

I'm well aware the insides of the iPhone exist, and that there is a battery in there. Of course it can be replaced. Average consumer Joe is not going to replace his iPhone's battery. Apple does not sell replacement batteries. If you replace your battery, you void your warranty. iPhone's battery is replaceable in the same way my iMac's motherboard is. Just because I know how to do it and have the tools, doesn't mean we get to call it replaceable.
Identical devices might not load the pages at the same time. The cell network is dynamic. Additionally, iPhone 4 and 3GS do load web pages in nearly the same amount of time. iPhone 3G is the same as the first one with an additional antenna. The difference in power from the first iPhone to the current one is tremendous, I wouldn't expect them to do anything at the same speed. That said, a faster processor and more RAM only incidentally make web pages load faster. When the iPhone is working, like running an app, or opening a new browser window, newer means faster. But the real issue is how fast it loads web content. YouTube videos won't load any faster, although the app might get to loading the video quicker.
