Chinese Military Releases Jailbreak App, Apple Can Do Nothing

The People's Liberation Army (China's unified military organization) released an application for the iPhone. No big deal right? Well its a jailbreak only app.
The PLA in an effort to become more transparent about its operations (China, more transparent?) released an unauthorized jailbreak application along with complete instructions on how to install the app on the PLA's official website. China has no plans to release the app through the App Store, and there's no indication that the PLA even sent the app to Apple for inclusion in the App Store.
This marks a first for sovereign nations the world over. Not that Apple can really be mad about the entire thing, a considerable amount of their products are assembled within Chinese borders. Unless of course Sir Jobs has a private military force designed by Jonathan Ive.

Don't mess with Steve Jobs's army. They won World War 3 which was fought between them and the Android army not too long ago.

Apple controls 66% of all mobile PROFITS. Thats why they've won. Market share doesn't mean anything when you're not making any money. Mind you the other 33% is comprised of ALL the other hardware phone makers. Google makes a tiny tiny tiny fraction of what's left. Google doesn't sell hardware and makes almost zero net margin on their OS.

lol. Damn. I thought the man was talking about the HTC/Apple lawsuit....which focuses more on the Android OS features.
But nonetheless your find is very interesting.....and expected given that Apple operates off of only two phones still in production (unless they have already discontinued 3GS production).....vs HTC and others who are constantly hemorrhaging phones almost every couple of months it seems like.
But if I'm not mistaken I believe HTC has had a record 2nd quarter in profits year-over-year as well as a big jump from their 1st quarter alone have they not? I know Apple is squashing them in that department, but if HTC comes out of this ITC case unscathed, I can't help but think that they'll slowly but surely become a thorn in Apple's side.
Mad props to Apple. (See I'm not a total Apple hater.
). They've got the business down to a science.

I'm just wondering why this app was not submitted to the app store - then I remembered Apple's rejection of political Apps and guess they knew it would be rejected.
I guess we'll see a lot more Chinese JailBreakers now...
