BookBook Case Turns your iPhone into a Vintage Leather Bound Book
A couple of months ago we covered the BookBook case for the MacBook Air. Well, now Twelve South has come out with something similar, only this time for the iPhone 4. The BookBook for iPhone is a wallet and an iPhone case all in one. With the case closed, your iPhone looks like nothing more than a vintage leather bound book.
The wallet portion of the case has a convenient ID window and has room for up to four credit cards. The case also has room for a bit of cash and receipts inside the vertical pocket. All of the controls and ports are easily accessible so you won’t have to remove your iPhone in order to charge it.

Taking a picture is not a problem either with the BookBook case. To snap pictures simply pull the red tab and your iPhone will slide up about a ¼ inch. The lens is then exposed allowing you to take as many pictures as you want.
The BookBook for iPhone has been designed to work exclusively with the iPhone 4 and will set you back $59.99. By bringing the iPhone and wallet together in one convenient package, you’ll never misplace your wallet again. Just call your iPhone to find it. Of course, you’ll have to remember to leave the ringer volume turned up.

They have one for the iPad. I actually bought one today. I'm hoping its going to b good. Judging at he look of it I'm scared if I open it wrongdoer up that the iPad would fal off.

Very cool looking but utterly stupid name. BookBook?
I don't get the people that complain if they lose their phone they lose xyz else. This clearly isn't meant for the people that frequently misplace their things... also, if you lose your phone it's gone (most likely). If you lose your cards, you make a few phone calls and they are back. Many banks will even give you temporary debit cards on the spot.Last edited by sziklassy; 07-30-2011 at 08:32 AM.

Cool, but I don't want the words book book on the side of the case. How about an option to remove it?

I like the concept and style, but I probably couldn't do it. Even the most attentive people can get mentally sidetracked for a couple of seconds. And a couple of seconds is all a crook needs to swipe it from your shopping cart while you turn your back real quick to grab something that requires both of your hands.
I just feel a little more secure with these items in my pocket.
Maybe if it were able to be zipped up to where people couldn't tell there was a phone and cards inside I would consider it.

Actually what I've been wanting for so long is one of those slim credit card cases for when I go to Disney and all I need is my license a credit card and my ticket. That's it.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks this looks tacky beyond belief. I wait for the day when my phone is the only device I'll need to carry (using RFID for ID, Money, etc.). Until then I'll pass on strapping my plastic via leather to my glass & metal phone.
