iOS 4.3.5 Released : Fixes Security Issue With Certificate Validation

WARNING: DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU HAVE A JAILBROKEN OR UNLOCKED DEVICE. THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO TOOLS AVAILABLE FOR iOS 4.3.4 and 4.3.5.
Ten days ago Apple released iOS 4.3.4, in order to address JailbreakMe.com's PDF Exploit. Today Apple has just released iOS 4.3.5 in order to address a security issue with certificate validation.
The servers seem pretty busy for some reason (hope you guys are updating), but if your really into it, the update is indeed available.Fixes a security vulnerability with certificate validation.
The new version checks in as Build 8L1, and is for the GSM iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, all iPads, and the third- and-fourth-generation iPod touch. A separate iOS 4.2.10 (Build 8E600) is available for the CDMA iPhone.
Remember, play safe, iOS 5 is right around the corner.Last edited by Nick Hesson; 07-25-2011 at 12:10 PM.

Good grief!!! Apple is playing hardball! I hope the only updating everybody is doing is updating their tiny-umb to get their latest SHSH saved!

I second this. Get iSHSHit in cydia, or use tinyumbrella and make sure to save your SH's because this feels like the previous jump from 3.0 thru 4.0. Not to mention JB's are not going to come as fast as they use to. Not to mention if the OTA's in 5.0 hold true. This will present a whole new problem of accidental updating other than hooking up to your computer and itunes!
Be sure if you are using the newest version of TU to uncheck the check cydia for your blogs to get the new SH's directly from apple because cydia does not yet carry them!"thuwun"

Going to stay away from this, I spent valuable time downloading a 600 meg file for 4.3.4 now Apple want me to download another 600 meg file in under two weeks

Is there a better chance of this FW being jail broken for iPad 2 instead of 4.3.4

Quick question:
With the release of iOS 4.3.5 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, does the jailbreaking community plan to release a Cydia patch that will serve as the equivalent of the official Apple Security Certificate patch found in the migration from iOS 4.3.4 to iOS 4.3.5?
The jailbreaking community has previously released PDF Patch 2 on Cydia, a third-party equivalent of the official Apple PDF patch found in the migration from iOS 4.3.3 to iOS 4.3.4.
I am sure millions of Cydia users would be very pleased with the development of such a third-party security certificate patch for jailbroken versions of iOS 4.3.5. Any information is appreciated, thanks in advance!

I have the newest version of tiny umbrella but when i hit to save my SHSH blobs it doesnt save 4.3.5, or 5.0 beta 4. I have everything else but those two. Anyone have any ideas?

I messed up my iPhone pretty bad so I took it to the apple store to restore. They did and I was surprised to see 4.3.5! I have my SHSH blobs saved and am wondering if TinyUmbrella works with Lion and iTunes 10.4? I'd love to go back to 4.3.3. I'm currently jailbroken on 4.3.5 but it's tethered :-/
Ok...just saw the above post! Looks like I'll just have to wait for TU to update and then hopefully get myself back into the joys of 4.3.3!!Last edited by trevorrawson; 07-25-2011 at 08:08 PM.

I'm running iOS 5 beta 4. Normally an avid jailbreaker, there are actually enough cool new features in iOS 5 to make it worth not jailbreaking! For now... Also, I had iOS 4.2 tethered jailbroken, it REALLY got inconvenient. Then greenpois0n came out. :-D

Doesn't matter to me. All 4.3.4 did was to make it harder to jailbreak. 4.3.3 FTW
