RecognizeMe On Sale For $3.99 - Limited Time

A few months ago, ModMyi covered an upcoming tweak called RecognizeMe . This tweak allows you to unlock your iDevice through facial recognition on the lock screen using the iPhone 4 / iPod 4 camera (eventually the iPad 2 upon a official jailbreak release). It has been out for some time and has had positive reception.
Due to the amount of coding and components of the iDevice used, RecognizeMe is a premium application and comes at a cost - $9.99. When it first released, it was available for $6.99 on Cydia for a few short days but then was bumped up to $9.99. To commemorate July 4th and summer fun, Chris Simpson (@apocolipse269) has stated that RecognizeMe will be available for only $3.99 on Cydia for the next three weeks. Go grab it now and give it a whirl.
Name: RecognizeMe
Author: Apocolipse
Version: 1.0.1-1
Price: $3.99 (next 3 weeks), $9.99 standard
As a refresher or for those who haven't seen what RecognizeMe can do, watch the below video:

As cool as the tweak is I wouldn't use it. I don't even use the passcode lock as it is, awesome tweak though.

I use this software but did not like it because its very slower, do not work if there is not enough light or too bright like out side.
Take forever like 1-2 min , not that accurate
But its good to have it , nice addition to play with...

Seems too easy to bypass the facial recognition without a sufficient camera. Might give this a try but won't be my primary means of security.
BTW is that the Golfland-Sunsplash in Roseville? Was just there last week wreaking havoc on the raceway and water coaster heh. Fun place, good pic.

No thanks, it's too buggy right now. Works and don't sometimes. Maybe apple should add a thumb scanner on the left or right side of the home button, it's more practical than using a VGA camera for facial recognition.

Very nice! Congratulations to you and your lovely girlfriend

On a more related note, just bought the app. Very interesting; tried tweaking with it a bit. Actually works relatively well, but was still possible to use a facebook picture and get in on high intensity. Give this a year or two and it could turn into a probable means of security for iDevice owners; going to take some effort on Apple's part, though, in upgrading the cameras.
If I have helped you, please consider the Thanks button

I tried it but didn't like it. I tried different settings and its suppose to allow to take more than one pic so that you can one with alot of light and one with little light and so one. It makes sense but would only allow me to take one pic. Wasn't too happy with it and it takes too long.

Don't agree
This app is far away from where it's ever gonna be. I agree with the background lighting issue. If your looking for an awesome security app coming soon, head over to Home Page and check out IShutDown that we'll be releasing by the end of July to the cydia store. I'll be putting a video up on the website later on tomorrow night of the demo. Hope you enjoy.

I like the facial recognition idea, but I like the finger print idea better. It is all around a better, smarter and a safer idea. Even if they fine tune this, it will never be as secure as a fingerprint.
