Jailbreak iOS 5 on Windows with sn0wbreeze

sn0wbreeze has been updated (2.8 Beta 1) to support iOS 5 (GSM and CDMA). Recently, MuscleNerd stated that a beta version of redsn0w was available for users and developers to test out applications/tweaks in the iOS 5 environment. One of the main limitations though is that the redsn0w beta is only available for the Mac OS.
Although MuscleNerd said a Windows client was in the process, another prominent developer stepped up to the plate and completed the task. iH8sn0w (@iH8sn0w) pushed out a sn0wbreeze 2.8 Beta 1 release today to ensure that those on Windows could test iOS 5 on a jailbroken device (GSM and CDMA). It is available for all devices except the iPad 2.
This is a huge plus for Windows users and developers/hackers that don't use the Mac OS. iH8snow mentioned to me on Skype that he will continue to release versions of sn0wbreeze for every iOS 5 beta release (Beta 2 - x). On top of this, at the release of iOS 5, sn0wbreeze will be updated to 3.0 and will support all respective devices except the iPad 2.
Here's a disclaimer and information directly from iH8snow:
sn0wbreeze v2.8 BETA 1 Release Notes:
--------------------------------------
* Supports iOS 5.0 BETA 1 (9A5220p)
* Supports the following Devices:
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4 [GSM]
- iPhone 4 [CDMA]
- iPod Touch 3G
- iPod Touch 4
- iPad 1G
--------------------------------------
* Props to @MuscleNerd for the kernel patches.
--------------------------------------
* THIS IS INTENDED FOR DEVELOPERS ONLY!!!
* This sn0wbreeze does NOT add afc2 or Hacktivate to prevent users from removing the UDID check after jailbreak.
* UNLOCKERS SHOULD STAY AWAY!!!
* This is a /TETHERED/ jailbreak via iBooty.

Awesome, JB team is moving fast.
Too bad
I just downgraded my i4 from ios 5 to 4.3.3 i would have tested.
Running a stock 4.3.3 firmware makes me feel claustrophobic, i missed the jailbreak on ios 5 as well. Therefore i downgraded.

SBSettings causes the same issue. I deleted it but someone has posted a 'fix' in the iOS5 compatibility thread. I' haven't tried it, but if you do can you let us know if it works?

Any updates regarding iOS 5 release? And I heard from Apple technician that Cydia 1.2 is coming soon.

Beta 8 should be released tomorrow with the GM before the end of the month, looking like an early October release.
Why on earth would an 'Apple technician' know anything about Cydia updates?He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

They can read too, and some of them blow smoke...
There is one here in Germany who is better informed in the JB community than many people
