More and more reason for one not to rely on a jb. Now if those of us with grandfathered unlimited data plans could tether natively, I would reconsider the need for a jb. Instead, At&t has tried either to entice us or deebo us off such plans. For me, I can't live w/o sbsettings, mywi, my3G and five icon dock. If Apple would natively incorporate these 4 features, I would be less compelled to Jb my iphone. Until then, Pwnagetool it is.

Are you guys for real? This problem was caused entirely by AT&T all along. Their network couldn't handle it. Apple always wanted this feature. It has nothing to do with the jailbreak community whatsoever.

This isnt the only thing. Notice how in the iOS 5 update their new "lock screen" that Apple made looks kinda like those LockInfo packages you see in Cydia

as slow as 3G is in my area, im sure FACETIME would suffer from the slow data rates. i already have 3GUnrestrictor to allow FACETIME to work on 3G and it sucks

I can't find this type of screen anywhere. I tried all options and scenarios I could think of to get this screen and it was a no go.

I agree, this was probly largely AT&T and TBH I have no issue with them doing this. So many ppl b**ch and moan about the network sucking, why would they want a data hog like FaceTime making it worse? Personally I have almost perfect network quality w/ Big Blue so I definitely don't want that to change if the net's not ready to handle more traffic; I'd rather continue not having F/T and keep my 3G up and fast.

it's apple's hands that are tied in this case., the network mismanagement at AT&T is unbelievable in ways that I wouldn't have thought imaginable.

This may sound stupid, but why not use one of the many other video chat/call apps that are already on App Store? I have a couple of them and they work fine if the signal is good. Just a thought.
