I tired it and it put my iphone 4 in DFU mode and now I can't get it out. I hold both Sleep and home button to reset but then it just boots back in to "connect to itunes" screen

I just saved my SHSH blobs but what can that do for me?
If I'm on 4.3.3 will i be able to downgrade to 4.0 on my iphone 4? If so, why would someone need to downgrade if there's a jailbreak for the latest version?

i believe what this is for is, if you buy an iphone for instance and it has 4.2.1 on it, and it doesnt have shsh blobs already saved from cydia or tiny umbrella then it impossible to save them before, but with ifaith you can save them by extracting it from the device itself without apple signing it.

Not quite
Not quite true.
If you buy a phone with a jailbreakable FW you can get the signature files (the already encrypted blobs) for that FW so can always restore that.
For example, if iOS 4.4 was released and there was no JB but you bought a brand new phone with 4.33 on it and Apple had stopped signing it, without this tool you would be able to JB your device but if you ever had to restore you would be forced to upgrade to 4.4 as umbrella could only get the blobs for FW that Apple are still signing.
IFaith will let you get the signed blobs off your device for 4.33 so you can restore to that.
If you bought a second hand phone with 4.21 on it which had never had blobs saved then iFaith will get the signed 4.21 blobs so you can restore to that, in this case you would not be able to restore to any FW between 4.21 and 4.4 as those blobs were never retrieved.
At least, that is what I believe, I'm sure I will be corrected if I'm wrong.
This will be a very useful tool for some people congratulations to iH8Sn0w for a great job.

Awesome, download link contains a virus..... Or is it just like Cracks, that Anti Virus Programs detect it as a virus, but in reality its not a virus?

Was safe for me even though I had a problem.
It got stuck at Detecting iOS Version / Dumping Blobs and was cycling in a loop without ever actually capturing any blobs. Odd.
Anyhow I exited by clicking the X on the program without disconnecting the phone, and the program kicked me out of the ramdisk on the iPhone and rebooted it into normal mode automatically. Although it didn't work, no problems here.Anybody want a 32GB Mint Condition Black JB Unlocked 3GS? PM me with offers.

Good tool. iFaith didn't live up to all the hype though and didn't require all this drama for a release.
