SlideAway Releasing Soon

SlideAway, a lockscreen tweak by Filippo Bigarella (@FilippoBiga), is expected to release soon. A recent tweet from Filippo elaborates on SlideAway's description, theming capabilities, and how it has been submitted to Cydia.



The tweet had links to some documentation about SlideAway and a tutorial on how to create themes for SlideAway by JiXeR (@JiXeRMDR). The documentation focused on these following aspects:

• Description - a brief overview of what SlideAway does and a few special thanks to those who tested and helped create it.
• Slide Up Dock - How dock works and what kind of features it has.
• SlideAway Bar - Set-up for it and a little about what one is able to do with it.
• Settings - How to configure different aspects of SlideAway.

The theming article gave step by step instructions on how to create themes for SlideAway and place them in the respective place via SSH.

ModMyi covered SlideAway a little while back and gave you an inside look on the features and implementations of SlideAway. SlideAway has come a long way since then fixing tons of bugs and adding many new features.

As it has been submitted to ModMyi, it will be available to buy and use soon. When SlideAway releases, it will be $2.99. Stay tuned on this thread for upcoming updates and follow Filippo on Twitter for more information.

Yeah, the same thing is happening to me. I'm on 4.2.1 on my iPod Touch 4G atm and I receive the springboard crashed error. It used to work great on 4.1, so idk what happened. Especially since [to my knowledge] it's compatible on 4.3.x.

I would recommend trying to get a hold of Filippo. Nine times out of ten, the issue is a clash between an already installed application.

Does anyone know if this effects an animated lockscreen?

because im on 4.1 and it throws me intto safe mode. but my friend is on 4.1 and his is working any ideas?

Hope Filippo Bigga will say something to compatibilities.
It definetly does not work with LockInfo.
On my iPhone 4 (4.32) changes in SlideAway App have no effect.
Is it winterboard compatible? ´Seems that it will not work when lockscreen themes are active

Ok I find out:

SlideAway works with every OS 4.21 and above
SlideAway is NOT compatible with any Winterboard Lockscreen Themes, but it can be themed manually.
SlideAway is NOT compatible with Lockscreen-Mods like LockInfo.

What I miss:
Possibility to show Icon Labels
Badges
Possibility to have the slide up menu as default
Returning to Lockscreen when App closed
Possibility to close slide up menu without unlocking the device

Looks pointless. There's already a tap to unlock, and i can remove the images just by deleting them. I don't need 100 different ways to unlock my ipod.

With that being said, however, this proves how far we've come in modding.

I'm on iPhone 4, 4.3.3 and I use Slideway, Springtimize and animated lockscreens with no issues. Slideaway is definitely my new favorite tweak. Only thing I would like is the ability to have a transparent bar, and unfortunately FilippoBiga has stated that it's not possible at this time. But other than that it works flawlessly for me.

I've been looking for a transparent bar, I wonder why it's not possible? I hope someone finds a way soon.
