Now I wanted this app and I hope there is a jailbreak for iPad 2 to use this.
So cool and is not expensive either.

Iphone doesn't have a high enough resolution to scan prints of your finger. This application is just for fun and not to be taken serious or for security. An android lock feature is the best you can use but the one you get from cydia can be broken into thus requiring you to use the passcode lock.
Voice recognition is by far the best because soundwaves from your voice differ from anyone that would try to hack into it.

seems to be nice, but as a toy to play with friends, not for security

I'm going to manufacture a case to compliment this app as a security solution, it will have cut out black handle moustaches with a gold outline. As long as the user does not let anyone take a picture of him in the moustache, it's secure.
Each moustache will be unique, and will have a special slot in the case.....that will only open.....with a swipe and a 4 button code that only the owner knows.
Only then may he don the moustache and gain access to the springboard.
For those users who have special and unique requirement, like hackers and vampires....who would then need facial recognition in the dark.....a nanoLED backlit moustache....boasting 300 lamps per inch.....making it a retina-stashLast edited by ex_spy_guy; 05-18-2011 at 07:46 PM.

Really cool technology but for the most part it just seems like it would be a pain. I'd rather leave my phone unlocked so I can access things quickly and use locktopus to lock up the sensitive stuff.

Just saw this thing on the morning news in New York. they made quick work of it and just said "it should be available soon for about 7 bucks."
no mention of cydia, of course (;

Is it reconize or recognize? Someone keeps leaving the G out when he pronounces

From the video seems that recoGnition is slow. I typically want to open my phone fast.
Cudos the the work done though. This could not have been easy.

Apple is stupid for trying to have Jailbreaking deemed illegal.. Apple actually benefits from the Jailbreak community where devs and even its users express many great ideas like RecognizeMe.. Kudos to this dev. As always, the JB devs beat Apple to the cooler ideas and implementation

Anyone else purchased this?
I have, but when I opt to scan my face to unlock, the bloody screen turns off before it's finished! (it re-locks) ... any ideas? I've tried Dim Delay etc but to no avail.do'h
