WidgeKit Goes Public

Peter Hajas, author and creator of MobileNotifier, released yesterday the developer prerelease of WidgeKit. This goes along with his new upcoming project Widge. He discussed that he was releasing WidgeKit to the public in his exclusive interview with ModMyi however the actual release date was unknown. Hajas wrote up and posted an introduction to the WidgeKit release to prominent developers on his website. The article can be read here.
WidgeKit, an open source development framework for his project Widge, allows developers to start creating and developing widgets for iOS devices. As mentioned above, the framework is completely open source and he is always open to suggestions or change ideas to Widge and WidgeKit. The source for Widge and WidgeKit can be found here:
For more information on how to get involved and start the process, read the WidgeKit Developer Prelease Spring 2011. Follow Peter Hajas on Twitter for more updates and information regarding Widge and other developments by him.

The jailbreak community will still use it even if apple comes out with some widgets of their own. Bc apple is notorious for leaving things out.
