Italian Blog Claims to Have Leaked iPhone 5 Component Images

Could we be looking at the first officially leaked component photos of the forthcoming iPhone 5? The above image, as one example, was first posted on the iPhone Italia blog, which - it deserves to be noted - boasted sources that accurately predicted the timeframe for the recent white iPhone 4 release.
If you're confused about what this photo actually reveals, you're not alone. The minuscule part with disheveled wires is said to be the home button/speaker assembly for the next generation iPhone. If legitimate, we can extract at least a few key morsels of information - the most important of which to jailbreakers may be that there is apparently no truth to the speculation that Apple is killing the physical home button.
Regardless of whether the iPhone 5 will be unveiled next month or in September, it isn't inconceivable for the device to already be on the assembly line overseas, particularly with regard to prototypes, not mass production. And by all accounts, when the mysterious 5th generation iPhone does rear its head, there's an excellent possibility that the device's overall look, feel, and basic functionality may be more similar to the iPhone 4 than the iPhone 4 was to any previous generation of the product. The home key will still be physical and not capacitive and there will continue to be mono sound..
The real selling-power of the iPhone 5 could ultimately be the way in which it allows users to enjoy the next major iOS upgrade, iOS 5, which - if truth be told - seems to be captivating the imaginations of most Apple fans considerably more than the iPhone 5 is for the time being.

I figured there wouldn't be any cosmetic changes and very few hardware changes in the next iPhone.

As noted in the first comment, Apple doesn't do wires. Their design is an up to date solid surface mount pressure contact technology whereas this looks like it was pulled from a 1985 RC car. There is ZERO chance it is true.

Yeah. Im thinking no new radical design changes with the next iPhone. Just a few things that might make you bite. Better camera, more speed and memory, etc etc. Maybe 64g version.. Stuff like that

Sure hope they leave a physical home button... if its capacitive, I can already imagine being in the middle of an intense game or something with my fingers flopping all over the face of the phone, and then accidentally staring at the home screen in a fit of rage.
Its like when they put the bumps or "nipples" on the F and J keys on the touch-screen iPad keyboard... as if there is going to be some sort of feedback on the smooth glass screen...

You're not using your imagination. When you get rid of the button you open up that space to all kinds of gestures. Perhaps a vertical or horizontal swipe will activate it the 'Home' function.
Palm Pre owners know what I'm talking about.
.
Yes, exactly. Apple uses flat ribbon cables to save space. Every fraction of a millimeter counts.Last edited by Jahooba; 05-13-2011 at 10:08 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Of course apple do wires!
just look at the iPod touch 4th gen speaker! Two wires, red and blue and both are soldered!
If this IS infect a legit pic, as someone who own an iPhone repair store, I'll be less than impressed if there's soldering involved in day to day repairs.
