Maybe(and that's a big maybe) why I haven't got the threat yet. I'm still on 4.1 and have never gone higher than 2.6gb. I guess time will tell.

The rep you talked to is pulling this out of their a-ss, this is complete crap. 300 isn't even a valid subnet; they only go up to 254 (and 255 is reserved for ARP requests).

that is by far the most valid point I've heard since this whole ordeal started. and I think you're right about the csr department, they do give you a specific number to call because those are the guys that are supposed to be "trained" on how to handle this tethering situation, not the regular guys that just handle your billing.

So I only have the 200 mb plan and my pc is too far away from my modem for an ethernet cord. So If I connected my iPhone to my wifi could I tether my wifi connection via USB to my computer without any of my data being used?

Yes you can just go into MyWi settings and bridge to wifi instead of 3G ... This will state you "WIFI" connection instead of 3G. But to be sure before you tether disable cellular data by going to you settings/general/network
Hit the thanks button if I helped in any way

What I said still applies. It matters none if the PC has WiFi, you can tether via USB still. The instructions I gave you change where MyWi pulls data from, which with those settings will be from your own WiFi. To see what if any setup procedures are needed to get MyWi to work on XP machine just refer to MyWi dev team. Shoot them an email and I'm sure they will help.

You will just need to make sure you have iTunes installed, as that includes all the drivers for connecting to your iPhone.
