Maybe(and that's a big maybe) why I haven't got the threat yet. I'm still on 4.1 and have never gone higher than 2.6gb. I guess time will tell.

that is by far the most valid point I've heard since this whole ordeal started. and I think you're right about the csr department, they do give you a specific number to call because those are the guys that are supposed to be "trained" on how to handle this tethering situation, not the regular guys that just handle your billing.

So I only have the 200 mb plan and my pc is too far away from my modem for an ethernet cord. So If I connected my iPhone to my wifi could I tether my wifi connection via USB to my computer without any of my data being used?

So I did all of this only to find out my pc is a dinosaur. It runs xp with no wifi compatibility. Anything thing on tethering via USB to an old pc like mine?

What I said still applies. It matters none if the PC has WiFi, you can tether via USB still. The instructions I gave you change where MyWi pulls data from, which with those settings will be from your own WiFi. To see what if any setup procedures are needed to get MyWi to work on XP machine just refer to MyWi dev team. Shoot them an email and I'm sure they will help.
