As ugly as that "paper iPhone" is... It's still pretty cool. I don't think Anybody really will have any use for it. That's as far as it goes

    I'll pass on this.

Don't see the application of bending to activate buttons. If they can make this a touch sensor phone that I just folder into my pocket that would be awesome.

It's different! It must be better!

I don't think anyone here is under standing this properly, this could easily have a touch screen and the e-ink screen could be replaced by a flexible OLED screen. If you had the thin phone at the front and the battery at the back you would end up with a nice thin light phone as the only size limit would be the battery.

Just a thought but how would you text?? And wouldn't it take like an hour to text a simple sentence if you had to bend for each letter!! good job there isn't many words that use "Z" 26 bends for 1 letter.

I just think the bending is an idea to shoe off the screen's flexibility and thinness.

    Absolutely not!!! Cool

    Hooray for the future!....

...but that product itself is ridiculous. Still, iPhone 4 FTW.

Unless you have a rubber battery and flexible housing and lots of other small tiny breakable parts that are inside the iphone how the hell are you gonna bend the screen when trying to use your phone? Stupid.

I doubt this technology will be used in phones, more like books, fashion, and appliances.

I can't imagine how this would be practical based off of what I've seen. Maybe I'm missing the big picture, but I'd need to see the refined technology.

    Fashion?

I'm sorry but I have to jump on the band wagon here. Not practical and it definitely looks like a step backwards to me.

Definitely no good. Brings a whole new meaning to pocket dialing

The only way I could see this becoming a part of the iPhone is if Apple incorporates it into the screen itself, thus reducing the amount of damage done if someone drops their phone.. Kinda like making the phone more 'unbreakable'
