qtweeter. LOVE IT.
I, for one, would have never even moved to the 3G if you couldn't jailbreak. Let alone 3GS or i4... it's so much fun just getting there. Then when you have it JUST how you want it, you restore and DO IT ALL AGAIN! :P

That interview was Nerd-tastic.
It isn't until you see a few people standing around yanking it over a black keyboard on their phone that you think...... man I should be outside kicking a ball right now.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning

I think it was risky for saurik to just recommend redsnow for jailbreakers. Anyone who requires an unlock might just stupidly update their firmware (and their baseband - losing their unlock) to use this jailbreak only program. Those people are out there, and identify themselves clearly each and every time a new firmware is released.
You really need to be careful how you state things, and shouldn't just throw a comment out there without thinking of the bigger picture.
If you need to be unlocked you need pwnagetool or some other custom ipsw creation program to jailbreak with.I write Mac only tutorials for the iPhone and own every model. My iPhones run on the following SIMs/networks: AT&T, GoPhone, H2O, O2, SimpleMobile, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Let's not forget about the bastard son of Apple: the iPod Touch. It never gets it's due recognition. It does everything an iPhone does, aside from radio cell calls, and it does it while being slimmer, lighter, and way more stylish.
My biggest reason to jailbreak: making themes for it. I just can't get over how beautiful artwork can look on it - especially the Retina Display.

The people who are saying don't jailbreak your phone/iPod are probably the people who have never done it themselves. I would like to see someone who has a jailbroken phone (and knows how to use it properly) saying not to jailbreak.

I wouldn't even have my iPhone 4 if I couldn't jailbreak it! It's a pretty boring device without the jailbreak.
