I agree, in fact I would dare say the ability to jail break the device actually added rather increased the sales of Apple products.

Those of whom have been modding mobile devices since the old nextel I830, and earlier rather any modi can say the reason behind purchasing their device was simply to mod it and be different by adding their own unique style to a cookie cut phone.

Barrel. It's $2.99 and well worth it. Very cool tweak.

Just looked at the video demo of Barrel and it doesn't look like that - are you sure it's barrel?

[edit]It looks like it's been updated since Aaron did his video - he really should do another one!
His video only had the two 'cube' options not 'curl and roll away' which looks like the one Saurik was using. [/edit]

He does need to update the video. He would probably well more copies. There's 14 different transitions to use. Very cool.

100% yes you should, I had a friend school me on how great jailbreaking is, I was nervous at first but after you jailbreak you can't go back to a stock iPhone, there's so many great things you can do... Now everyone I know that has an iPhone is jailbroken even my mother in law ... I went from knowing nothing to modifying small bits on my phone to building a full theme! if you jailbreak check out the themes, and the essentials (SBsettings, bitesms, activator, and ifile just for a taste)

Thanks to this post, I just found out about Barrel and Graviboard. Amazing little tweaks.
