Confirming several days of rumor and speculation, moments ago Apple updated its website (the homepage no less) to make the announcement many prospective iPhone buyers have been waiting for. Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, April 28th, the white iPhone 4 will be available for purchase.

Apple today announced that the white iPhone 4 will be available beginning tomorrow. White iPhone 4 models will be available from Apple’s online store (Apple), at Apple’s retail stores, AT&T and Verizon Wireless stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
“The white iPhone 4 has finally arrived and it’s beautiful,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “We appreciate everyone who has waited patiently while we’ve worked to get every detail right.”

Many are turning to their attention to Best Buy at this hour to see if the company will, as expected, similarly roll out the white iPhone 4 tomorrow. As of this writing, there is no confirmation that Best Buy is among those to debut the product tomorrow. Of course, with Apple finally pushing the white iPhone 4 to consumers, it's a safe bet that Best Buy and other participating retailers won't be too far behind.
