My wife waited to get the white one. She was satisfied with her 3G, but when it got crappy slow and apple stopped supporting her device, and when she heard this one was coming "soon", she wanted it.

she kinda just forgot about it until best buy rumored that it would be released today (Wednesday), she was determined to get it. So I'm excited for her.

Great idea, the official white has a different looking proximity sensor but the aftermarket ones represent the wwdc from June 2010 or the white apple prototype

Why do people always slag on this site for not scooping some story? It's akin to posting "First!" It's not a news site, it's a community of like-minded enthusiasts, moderated by volunteers who have Real Lives. At least when you hear it here, you generally know it's true.
