Dude... You are so missing the point. Maybe your twelve and don't understand what "rights" are. But other people live here and attempt to believe in the fact that we are free and have certain rights. These rights are smashed daily.

And maybe apple tracking doesnt matter, but allowing it does. It can set a "precedent" which can allow even worse sh!!t to happen down the road

Are you serious dude... I think you need to sit down and think about your right as an American(if you are one)
Your right as an American is to choose the phone you want to use, you even have the right to make your own phone and create whatever terms of use you'd like.

You're acting like as an American you're forced to use an iPhone.

And I'm pretty sure Apple isn't concerned about tracking you.

My point being, Apple isn't taking away any of your rights.

You guys sound a little paranoid.
Not saying they are currently, rather that it's possible.
Ex. A court could use a defendants phone to prove exactly where he was and that particular defendant says "WTF why is Apple tracking my location? I never gave them permission!" judge says, "you really did give them permission but the catch is that If you don't give them permission to track you then no iTunes for you!."
This is simply all-around a shitey job by Apple, they just need to grow a pair and say "look people, we effed up, we'll fix it ASAP." I just hope they don't start an Antennagate-esque smash campaign on other phones to make iPhones look better!

First off, Apple isn't tracking you. There is a file, (most likely for location services like find my iPhone and other apps) that's stored within your back-up.

You really need to calm down about this. Your rights as an American are still there. Apple's not looking at your back up files on your computer.

It sounds like the only thing you should be concerned about is your wife (if you have one) going on your computer finding your back up files, downloading and installing the iPhone tracker app, and finding out where you have been

Not really he just really likes iPhones... And yes they are, they basically corner you with their TOS saying "agree or no iTunes for you!"... There really is no phone quite equal to an iPhone... (for the Android enthusiasts, there are a few Android based devices on the same level I'm just speaking of other phones in general)

It's not that they are tracking you, I think it's more the fact that their TOS contains unfair terms that you have to agree to so you can use the only music syncing service available for the iPhone.

I find it funny that you agree to all terms when you get your iPhone, But later down the road, when you find out what the terms are, you freak out and feel Apples taking away your rights.

    I totally agree with you.

I don't get it... if they can use this to track where you are... then why the hell can't they track your iPhone if it gets stolen...

Do you read the 10,000 plus word TOS's every single time they release a new one?

So you must work for the CIA-PPLE division right. That's how you know that no one is looking at my personal data. And I'm not sure how many times I have to say, it doesn't matter if they ARE, it's that they CAN.

Do you understand that or no?

I think you need to read "1984"

How can they see this data?

It doesn't sound like you know what you're talking about.

Maybe you should read more about what the OP posted.

The point is iTunes does it by itself I don't do it. When I "X" it it doesn't want to sync at least my laptop. That's the point.
