Report: iPhone 5 To Deliver Few Modifications Over iPhone 4

According to the research, findings, and a healthy dose of speculation from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo with Concord Securities, Apple's long-awaited iPhone 5 may ultimately delver only a few, less than groundbreaking improvements over the 4th generation Apple smartphone.
Based on what Apple's overseas supply partners tell him, the iPhone 5 will not bestow an all-new design or anything - at least from an aesthetic standpoint - that is radically different from the previous four generations of the device. Kuo says the new phone will deliver only "slight modifications" from the last generation. In other words, expect the same body and retina display you already have.
It should also be noted that almost everyone - Kuo included - has stopped alluding to Near Field Communication (NFC) technology as a possible new attribute of the iPhone 5. NFC would make mobile payments (transactions via smartphone at the point of sale) possible at participating retailers across the US. As it now appears, Apple is once again putting off mobile payments for a future generation product or device.
All told, the guaranteed iPhone 5 modifications alluded to are those we've already been anticipating - an 8 megapixel rear camera and a Qualcomm baseband (GSM and CDMA). Kuo alleges that the radical overhaul of design and functionality will likely come with the 6th generation iPhone (can you believe we're talking about the 6th before the 5th has even turned up?). Still, the most interesting aspect of Kuo's report is that all signs now point to a September iPhone 5 release.

As long as it's got a better processor than the iPhone 4 and more RAM, I'll take it!
Edit: Damn you tudtran! I thought I would be first

Would a 4 inch screen be radical?

Seriously?
They ALWAYS RELEASE THEM IN JUNE
You even commented that there is not a huge difference in the iphone 5 therefor it should be able to be released NOW or more like 2 months from now in June, but September is ANOTHER 5 MONTHS AWAY
SERIOUSLY APPLE
I like most ppl are trying to SKIP the iphone 4 due to signal and other issues and just wait for the iphone 5 but this is ridiculous apple

they are doing the same thing like they did with the iphone 3g to 3gs look the same but 3gs is faster with better camera and more speed it was obvious they were going to do this i recommend u guys get the iphone 6 then 8 then 10 go by even numbers casue they will have the biggest changes lol
get an iphone every 2 years instead of each year thats the reason why i didnt get the 3gs cause it looks the same only had slight changes i went from a 3g to a 4

I think apple is leaking the september rumors as to not cut into the sales of the recently released VZW iphone 4 and and soon to be released white iphone 4. They've been known to do it before. Then again, a september release date does sound a bit more reasonable.

I'm happy to hear this as iphone 4 is the best version of the iphone yet. iphone 5 looks like one i can skip already. sweet.
I write Mac only tutorials for the iPhone and own every model. My iPhones run on the following SIMs/networks: AT&T, GoPhone, H2O, O2, SimpleMobile, T-Mobile and Verizon.

Not a big surprise. It is like the iPhone 3/iPhone 3GS all over again. If it doesn't have a 4G radio then it will be a fail.
