Guys, im still on 4.0.1 on iPhone 4, and use MyWi quite a bit for my tethering needs, because I refuse to pay extra to my network (Vodafone UK) for official tethering.

I have read some reports that networks can detect unofficial tethering on 4.3.1 - is this true? AT&T Cracking Down on MyWi Tethering?

Im thinking of upgrading to 4.3.1 but dont want to lose MyWi for it, especially as I have plans of getting an iPad 2 WIFI model and use my iPhone to tether to it

Vodafone can almost certainly detect that you are tethering. UK companies are way ahead of their US counterparts and have been able to do this for years.
If they have done nothing about it then it has nothing to do with your FW.
You are breaking the terms of your contract so don't be surprised if they do come down on you hard one day.
In the mean time, enjoy what you can steal.

I have been on 4.3.1 from the new jailbreak and everything is working well on my iPhone 4. I can't get the custom boot logos to work after re jailbreaking with the redsnow update but hey, you can't have everything , right?

Didnt work giving me boot logos either on my iPhone 4. Ran it a few times. I can select them in settings but they dont show up when rebooting.

I don't even have the boot loader option in Settings and I did check the box on the JB. Oh well, no biggy I guess.

bootlogos on ipod touch 3g dont work either. although it might also be the bootlogo program having an issue with it. just a theory.

Just updated my iPad less than 10 minutes ago and no option in Settings for boot loader?? Why? Do I need to re-JB again? (And of course unchecking install cydia and checking custom boot loader, which is what I did the first time)

It shows up in settings and I can view the preview but it doesn't show up after reboot.
