Downgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 POSSIBLE NOW!

Ok so I downgraded to 1.0.2 from 1.1.1 and it works. Did independence and unlocked it. So I installed App Tapp (osx) and it kind of worked, downloaded Community Sources it worked, but when I downloaded BSD Subsystem it gives me this error ( Error during install script execution!) I don't know where to go from here, should I just reformat the phone again to 1.0.2 and reinstall App Tapp. ( Because maybe it didn't finish installing completely) Or delete App Tapp (How?) note* it took a while for Tapp App to actually sign on to the server(s), upload all of the applications that are available, also it's missing some (a lot ) OpenSSH does not show up. The same "Error during install script execution!" Came up when I tried to install Navizon GPS. Any takers?

Hello Everyone, i am not very mac suavy nd had a question, any1 that can help id appreciate it (email [email protected]) ...Ok so i was using a itoner to put ringtones on my phone...couple weeks later i saw a new iphone update so me being stupid i update to 1.1.1 and lost all my ringtones....i researched how to get them back and in my searching found so many way cooler things i could put on my iphone..chat...games...ect...well i never downloaded apptap and was wondering now that i have 1.1.1. and never downloaded apptap can i restore back to 1.0.2 because when i try i download the 1.0.2 software and my computer automatically extracts the zip (comp is mac) then when i hit " option--restore... the 1.0.2. software comes up in a package of everything in it so i cant just "choose" the whole package i need to specify an item in it?? and also when i try to install apptap it ask me which version i am using and 1.1.1 is not in the list so when it says "will take 2-3minutes" im waiting 30mins and its still not doing anything because i chose another version my iphone does not hold....anyway basically i want 1.0.2 and never downloaded apptap...what do i do ?? if anyone can help THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!! also my phone carrier is at&t

Hiiiiii. i have a Unclocked phone. and have Upgraded to version1.1.1 , and running App Tab to downgrade to 1.0.2. will me phone will unlocked again........... Kindly advice thanks Sunny

The DevTeam they have sure is awesome....but i'm going to wait about a week (pretty sure it'll take em less than that) til they break 1.1.1 and i'll be able to install ringtones and change my icons on my phone again. Keep up the good work guys!

You shouldn't have to. iTunes should unzip it for you, thats ok.

pf its allready unzipped on my desktop.....i think thats my problem its a regular folder and when i click on it it just show the 2 dmg files and a firmware folder and a restore.plist and one other file???? im so gonna screw this up i know it

Hey there, I'm new to the boards. First off, Thank God for this. I stupidly upgraded to the new firmware. I have a few questions about this process. I'm a noob, so please bear with me.

I'm running on a mac. I have iTunes 7.4.2. 7.4.3 is for windows, as it states on apple.com. My questions are-

I hold down both buttons on the phone while on the dock, let go of the sleep button after 10 seconds, and let the home button go after iTunes recognizes the phone. My phone still shows the 30 pin connector/itunes image. what am I doing wrong?

on step 3, I have the 1.0.2 folder on my comp and I am wondering exactly what file I am choosing to restore from. is it a folder that I am renaming and then choosing, or is it a file?

so i did the downgrade but it wont back up all my info and music . . . basicly its a prand new phone right now with mods . .

i tell it to sync and it does like it would for a rutine sync
and i look at the info and everything is checked off so it should work . .

what am i doing wrong

I was having the same problem downloading the 1.0.2 file with safari, it would automatically uncompress it (unzip it) So I just re-downloaded it with fire fox and it worked. It was untouched. In other words just download it with firefox and that should do the trick, Ok now back to my question. Error during install script execution! Check post back three or four I needs help PLZZ.

i run app tapp and it just keep going, and when i run independence it doesnt show my iphone is connected????????? i knew id screw this up
