no, when you downgrade you should only be doing it for 1 of 2 reasons
-you want to be able to mod
-your locked out with a bad IMEI
when you downgrade to 1.0.2 the 1.1.1 features dont stay on the phone.

well i figured that! i just wanna mod my **** again, but ive heard some horror stories about no wifi and another guy said his comes up with a sim error, and he had an att account. ILL WAIT.... no big deal

I will not be trying it out though, at least not until the Dev Team releases there tool to restore to a factory like state, or give the go that this method is safe.

For you guys with the incorrect sim issues... my process has been confirmed here.. http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/show...1&postcount=61 just upload the hacked lockdwnd file to your iPhone, and you should be in good shape.

i almost did this, but im really sick of restoring and most of the time i do i get a message "cannot restore iphone" and dont get my contacts loaded..... ;/

I was able to restore back to the 1.0.2 image but now im on ATT and im getting Incorrect SIM This iPhone must be used with an approved SIM what do i need to do any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

well i did do that i downloaded the one from this site and used it but still says that incorrect sim too also i still have that 0000 imei when i check the about section but when i reboot with the sim out of it it goes back to normal

Install the modded lockdownd file into usr/libexec.
No. Just downgrades for modding purposes.
You are not doing the button combination in the correct order. Hold down both buttons for 10 seconds, then let go of the Sleep button (top button) until iTunes sees the iPhone. Then let go. It should be blank screen on the iPhone, then you can proceed.
Right. You have to do this with the SIM out if you have unlocked the iPhone previously.

So....im getting the same result i put the modded lockdownd file without the sim card in there i reboot the phone and then put the sim card in and i still get the sim not being recognized... :-(
