I just finished jailbreaking, everything went smoothly with pwnagetool, its so nice to see the Cydia icon on my iPhone 4 again! Thanks Devteam!

No its not the same. Pwnage tool will preserve the baseband even though Ultrasnow is not ready. Ultrasnow handles the unlock.Pwnage tool is just the means to preserve the baseband so you can use Ultrasnow to unlock.

So, hows it working out for everyone? Any bugs or issues? Also, will most cydia apps work with 4.3.1? - Or is there a compatability list out there already?

Also, my iPhone 3GS is currently on 4.0.1. Is it worth me upgrading to 4.3.1? I've been wanting to as my 3GS is starting to slow down a lot, will upgrading make it run smoother?

Thanks kickerman and Westerman. I don't need the unlock right now I just want to keep that option available so as long as it preserves the baseband, I am not worried about ultrasn0w not being ready yet. Thanks again

Pwnage Tool is telling me that I have the wrong firmware but I know I don't. When I ask it to find one online it looks for 4.1. Does anyone else have this problem

Download 4.3.1 to you computer and save it do you desktop then try it

No prob man.I am in the same boat. Im with AT&T but would like to preserve the baseband for a future unlock in case i sell the phone to a T-Mobile user.

As far as your Pwnage tool firmware recognition issues im not quite sure as i have yet to use the tool.Im waiting for ipad 2 support.

This is not an unlock just a jailbreak. But the jailbreak will work on 4.3.1 fw baseband doesnt matter
