TruPrint Expands Jailbroken iDevice Printing Capabilities
The intelligent people at Intelliborn are picking up Apple's slack and making it easier than ever to print to most network printers directly from your iDevice. Thanks to TruPrint, available now for download/install through Cydia, the $9.99 app enables your jailbroken device to work around the grossly limited iOS printing functionality, which largely excludes from printing just about everyone without one of only eight select printers.
Yet another great example of how creative devs and jailbroken devices can make for extraordinary outcomes that yield useful services that Apple itself failed to deliver, TruPrint works like a charm and delivers the expansive printing functionality that, to be honest, Apple should have made possible long ago. Nonetheless, TruPrint eliminates the frustration we've encountered in this regard, bringing hundreds of previously excommunicated printers into the iDevice printing fold.
Supported iDevices are as follows:
Setup, as you've probably observed, is incredibly straightforward. Simply install, and use Apple's built-in print menu. New printers will now show up. Given their well-deserved confidence in the app, Intelliborn is currently offering a free 3-day trial of TruPrint. To check it out, pay a visit to Intelliborn and see what all the hype is about.iPhone 3G/3GS/iPhone 4 iPod Touch 1G, 2G, 3G

It is finding the Brother printer that I have, but whatever data the truprint app seems to be sending to the printer, the pages are not getting printed. The printer display shows receiving data... but nothing happens. I am using a 3GS on 4.2.1

Didn't Apple say the printing on all devices would be coming sometime first half of 2011.. so maybe in like 3 days. Plus there is a free Mac app that already allows printing to other printers. $10 is too crazy for me to spend on this service just yet

Save your device shsh blobs locally and use them to restore your device regardless of what apple signs.

TruPrint can find my office networked printer but it won't print to it. The printer requires a job log when printing from macs or pcs. I think this could be the issue. Anyone know of a way around it?

Found all my printers. Printing emails is fine. Printing Word documents not so much. Formatting for Word docs is wanky.
