But isn't there a "changes" tab with all the new stuff?

I can't believe you guys haven't mentioned afc2add!! It is way more stable and reliable than SSH'ing. And I can't believe that no one said Chronus! I think that is the main reason why I jailbreak! Apple still has not implemented a native saved games manager.

I'm a simple jailbreaker all I need is:
    afc2add
    SBSettings
    Chronus
    Cyntact
    iFile
    QuickReply for SMS
    OpenSSH (not often used)
    Winterboard

^ afc2add was incorporated into limera1n and greenpois0n so a lot of new jailbreakers don't even know what that is anymore.

it works best with the activator tweak. go to add command, and where it says "Command", that's where you type what you want to say. Then for "Action", select activator. And when you tap "Configure", it will take you to a list of applications that you can assign the command for.

Two "tweaks" that I appreciate for their usefulness and seamless integration are:

    Phone GV Extension
    SMS GV Extension

Each integrates their respective Google Voice functionality seamlessly into the iPhone's proprietary Apps. When I call my girl in Canada it automatically dials for free with Google Voice. SMS are free from my GV number, right from the regular SMS App. No extra app to open. Must have tweaks for any Google Voice user.

DeepEnd is a background/wallpaper tweak, that creates a 3D type effect by moving the wallpaper in relation to gyroscope. Nice effect but a bit sluggish. I'll stick with Simple Background for panoramic android-esque eye-candy. vWallpaper was mindblowing but got bored of it very quickly. Incidentally, DeepEnd did (kind of) work with Simple Background. Would be amazing if those two devs could integrate the two efficiently.

Anyway... my favourite Cydia tweaks & Apps (ALL Free), with a few that haven't been mentioned (noteworthy ones have been highlighted): -

    SBSettings
    SBSettings Calculator Widget
    SBSettings Volumn Widget
    SBSettings iPod Widget
    SBSettings Serious HD Theme
    Winterboard
    WeatherIcon
    LiveClock
    Lock Calendar
    SBSettings Lock Calendar Toggle
    Activator
    Go Native
    OpenSSH
    MobileTerminal
    iFile
    OpenNotifier
    Direct Control
    PhoneCloser
    Scrobbl
    Simple Background
    ShakeToUndo Killer
    SwitcherMod

Wait... what? I'm 4.1 with limera1n... and I still had to install afc2add to get PhoneDisk to work.

Guys, If you are a serious themer - you need afc2add + phone disk!

It should have auto-installed when you jailbroke. I had filesystem access (using iPhone Explorer) without installing Cydia. I even helped one of our soldiers in Afghanistan to get jailbroken and install the Cydia.deb app since he had no phone service or WiFi access. He could not have done this if he required Cydia 'first' to install afc2add. Does that make sense?

Just as a warning PkgBackup is broke on 4.2 I heard.

What's he going to do with Cydia without Internet access?

Actually, he needed to get ultrasn0w installed. So I sent both the Cydia.deb and ultrasn0w.deb files so he could install them manually. After that, then he could use a sim card from a carrier in afghanistan for service.
