It looks like it has a screen over the iphone screen?? but If it doesn't require one, then it's awesome

Looks beastly, definitely gonna get this one!
But awesomeness aside it just looks like the background moves based on you gyrating you iDevice, creating the illusion of 3D. Quite a tech feat!

Would be awesome if they took it a step further and used eye tracking instead of the gyroscope.

That's really kind of awesome - I like how subtle it is.

I want to be able to make full 3D icons that rotate or animate, though. I'm great at 3D modeling and I'm not too shabby at animation, so if someone made this happen I would have a heck of a lot of fun making icons.

I believe icons are loaded into memory from a cache, so yeah it should work.

Exactly! Makes me feel even better about paying full price for an iPhone 4 hehe. Sure it could work on the older devices using the accelerometers but only when having the iPhone facing up which would defeat the purpose.
