Holy crap, Hulu on the iPhone would be AWESOME!
Reading the WSJ article, looks like they're going the same route as the youtube app. "Adobe Working on Media Player for iPhone" and "we can develop an iPhone Flash player ourselves" hint at them working on something more standalone than just a plugin. So looks like it won't be true flash on safari (no silly ads!) while at the same time we should be able to view flash movies / files.

This is only good news if Apple lets Adobe integrate flash into Safari.
A standalone app will have to process HTML as well as flash to be effective.
My take is that once a suitable flash version exists for the iPhone, we can work towards hack integrate it into Safari in form of a plug in.
Time will tell.
BTW, the SDK hype is really dying down in light of Apple's rules and regulations about developing on it. (can't run in background, can't integrate on call on, etc.)
Killing the buzz here Apple!
Time to look towards Mobile Ubuntu on the iPhone, it seems.

If apple wont let us.... They didnt let us do alot but we do it anyway i.e. Installer, 3rd party native apps, UNLOCKING. This will be good news once adobe gets it together and the people of these forums get a chance to hack it. Can't come too soon!

I can't wait for this!
Its funny to me how apple is trying to keep everything so proprietary..or atleast stay in control of what we do and put on our iphones, but at this point everyone from 13 year olds to adobe are saying eff you and making whatever software they want for it.
They really should just give up already.

sweeet. I just hope it has a toggle switch in settings like javascript.I can not stand those annoying dancing or strobe light ads on sites. Or that it works like quicktime and launches a stand alone player
