If Saurik had done a better job regulating the Theme's being sold in Cydia then there wouldn't be a need for ThemeIt

I wish all the themes would go to this app and leave Cydia for tweaks and apps. I don't even use themes anymore since winterboard is still full of bugs and hasn't been updated since like 3.X wtf Saurik update it already!

There are some good themes out there today (finding them is the hard part) ... Winterboard does need an update for sure!

A little bit of competition is good. Like our economy, which is sh1t, we have laws against monopoly. Y? Because if we only had one company to sell us everything. Then we would not have evolved to where we are. Competition is a way for us to gain in products...I think in my opinion "It's good evolution for man".

It's hard to find time to update Winterboard when you're counting all the money you've made off of it.

lol true... Don't get me wrong I respect Saurik ... but with the community being so large and with everything he has his hands in ... just think he should appreciate things that would make his life easier

and those are my last words on the subject....

    Have a great weekend MMI

Okay... Just wanna throw my 2 cents in. First of all (and I think it was already stated) if we were all down with one guy telling us what we can and can not install on our phones, THERE WOULD BE NO JAILBREAK COMMUNITY AT ALL. Second, the only reason Saurik doesn't want this to happen is because he will be losing his 30% of every purchase to Themeit. It has nothing to do with controlling the 'evolution' of themes. Why do u think he acquired RockApp??

Now with all that said, Cydia is still the only jb store that will be installed by default, so if this is going to be successful, there needs to be a TON of support.

    So.... WHOS WITH IT?!?

Well not like I need to be in the middle of more drama but this is unbelievably hypocritical of saurik and goes totally against everything he supposedly stands for and preaches on every talk show he's on. If it's about "guiding the future of theming/ JBing" then he should embrace the fact someone to a huge leap of faith for the good if the community. Fact is most not all of the devs of apps/tweaks could care less about themes and are pretty blunt to say so just read there twitter threads. Needless to say it seams very convenient that now after seeing a viable alternative now theming is important? Great prove it, work with theme_it for the good of the consumer instead of trying to bully the new guy with a great product that benefits all. No doubt Saurik and his staff are brilliant technical minds but that doesn't always translate to great business people with forward thinking.

Look I just thought it was weird since we talk about all kinda of JB and other news and a new theme store seems to be news...... Moving it was not the best idea I think.

The talk about Cydia and such is stupid, Saurik is owed a lot, he was a pioneer, Rock took shortcuts that caused JB devices to be unstable even though we did not know it, Look what happens, happens rock is gone, Cydia is still here and this theme store may or may not be here in the years to come but lets at least embrace what others are doing in a free economy allowed by JB.

Umm not really competition. In a way this is a good thing. I used to like Cydia, but then it became way to crowded with themes. Every time I went to see new things, that's practically all I got >.< I wanna see apps not themes. They're overcrowding cydia. So I'm all for ThemeIt!

I think a comment from Saurik is dearly needed on this story. I am sure he would not like this store, 90% of cydia is themes. He stands allot to loose.
