Apple Seeds iOS 4.3 Beta 2 to Developers

Apple seeded the second beta of iOS 4.3 to Developers Wednesday afternoon. The update from the first beta, seeded a week ago, brings bug fixes along with at least one puzzling omission. The new build of iOS 4.3 carries the build number 9F5135D.
The most notable portion of the new beta is that the much-hyped multi-touch gestures for the iPad (that had the rumor mill buzzing with reports that the new iPad may not even have a home button) will not be available for customers. Apple noted to developers in the release:
Well then, Apple has essentially said 'hold your horses' to the home button-less iPad rumors. It is not clear when Apple plans to actually implement the multi-touch gestures for customers. Maybe we'll see it released when the company debuts iOS 5, presumably some time this spring. Nothing else seems noticeably different in the beta, however, MacStories noted that everything seems "snappier" in the new beta."This feature will not be enabled in iOS 4.3 for customers, but we are providing this preview to gather input on how these gestures work with your apps."
The iOS 4.3 beta is available to developers now, and it is available for the iPhone 4 and 3GS, iPod touch 4th and 3rd generation, the iPad, and the Apple TV 2nd generation.

Lame, I was looking forward to using the multi-touch gestures on my iPad...but I'm sure there will be some kind of tweak by the community to enable it, I hope.

Will this new build have any impact on the current unlock advances that have been made (or not been made)?

I too am looking forward to the gestures. Hopefully it's not too different from the gestures on OS X. it does feel like yesterday we were jailbreaking 2.0 & 3.0. Now we're about to be on 5.0

This is so stupid. I saw people saying they "want an iPad now" after seeing the gestures. People obviously want them.
Let's go Red Wings!

Was wanting those multi-touch gestures too, can't wait for that, they're going to be awesome. They'll make the whole iPad experience that much more better
You don't like the iPad because you don't have one!

Hopefully with 5.0 in the making, we can all cross our fingers for a new UI since I'm assuming most people are bored with the same one since day one. I'm in 4.1 and I'm not updating anytime soon because these updates aren't that big of a deal to me. I will only update to 5.0 and when there's a jail break for it.

I guess Apple is trying to knock out most of the bugs prior to the verizon iPhone launch. They don't normally go thru betas quite that quick, do they?
