Next iPod Touch May Feature Glasses-Free 3D

I'm so updating to this iPod touch when it come out. But I do what to see a on and off button. Because if your friend wants to see they will not have glasses. How will apple have a iPod keynote with 3D

Any impressions I've read about the upcoming Nintendo 3DS have said that the 3D is actually very very good. Surprisingly good. And the 3DS has the option to turn on or off the 3D effect at any moment.
I don't want 3D on my iPhone just to play Cut the Rope for 5 mins in 3D. At least Apple is looking into copying other peoples ideas.

The 3DS battery life is reported to be anywhere between 3-8 hours with the screen at its lowest brightness,
so 5 minutes may be all you'll get lol

Battery life is the problem for the 3DS. I assume Nintendo will solve later in a new 3DS. 3DS Lite?

lite would imply that it's not as good as the original. A newer model will come 3 years down the road when portable 3d tech has progressed enough be good and practical. I just don't see any company doing that this year.

I'm so sick of the "stealing other peoples ideas" comments. There's no such thing as an original idea anymore. Every idea comes from something else. What makes Apple so awesome, is that they take other peoples ideas and make them a hundred times better. They turn good ideas into great ideas.

Exactly, I was never a fan of 3D things. To me, it always felt more like a gimmick than a selling point with movies and more than likely will feel the same with my handheld device.

I am sick of 3D. I go out of my way to watch movies in the theater that are NOT in 3D.

Same, getting bored of 3D. Apple shouldn't adding this to iOS, but instead concentrating on not being utter complete control freaks and put some faith in the end user. I only jailbreak to get more complex status bars (SBsettings etc) and theming. How is that possibly unsafe of not secure?

No... it wouldn't. Their DS lite was better than the original. Same specs, less power, higher quality screen, overall system smaller and sleeker. Running 2 screens simultaneously with 3D and the graphics capabilites it has, I wouldn't say 5 hours is bad for battery life.

Nintendo needs to start pushing for the development of smaller games, maybe even their own "app store" or something. The games don't NEED to be 3D compatible. I think the games on the app store are hugely successful partly for the fact that the vast majority or just a buck. That makes them a low risk purchase for people.
