So lets put this in perspective, they made an app to do your taxes on your iPhone because presumably you'd be doing them away from home.
Away from your filing cabinet...away from your computer which may contain other important tax info that you may need to retrieve...probably away from your phone charger and who knows what else.
Just so that you can do your taxes in the comfort of the line at the grocery store and constantly call home to your significant other to ask them for information so you can input it instead of doing it at home.
