It's funny how just a while back, Verizon had a commercial out about how the iPhone was just a missfit in the mobile world. Now look, they are all over iPhone. Stupid Verizon.

I'm looking, and I don't see that Verizon has an unlimited text plan do they? That could be one of the only things holding me back from upgrading from T-Mobile, being as I send 15,000 a month.

I was surprised how easy AT&T caved and gave me the unlimited data and tethering today.

Just got this in my email

I think people should hold off on getting it now though because a new iphone will coming in just a few months so I would just wait to see what the new iPhone brings before getting stuck with last generations device for two years. Although I'm already stuck with my iPhone 4 on AT&T for two years lol, but I got no complaints

I was with Verizon over 10 years and came to at&t for the iPhone 4 on launch day. Verizon coverage was no better and the service both at stores and via phone was horrible. I got a nice discount through work so I stayed. If you can get unlimited data with at&t there is no reason to go there. I have had zero problems with the phone or service since June so I'm happy.

I just had to see it to believe it!
Even so, I'm sticking with AT&T because I have had no problems with the service whatsoever. In my prospective, I like GSM way better better than CDMA since CDMA phones drain the battery more than GSM. Also, iPhone 4's on Verizon won't be able to call and use data at the same time which in my case sucks. So more bandwidth for those sticking with AT&T. So I'm happy on AT&T

For those hoping to buy a Verizon iPhone for use on Sprint's network via unlocking, it won't happen. The reason is while you may be able to jailbreak the device and eventually unlock it, the phone needs to be activated in Sprint's system. The way that CDMA carriers do this is via a number called an ESN. Verizon is more lenient when it comes to using unlocked CDMA phone on its system however, Sprint is very strict and will not activate a Handset on its network unless the ESN of the handset is in their system from an approved device. The way it works u go into a store or call up CS u give them the ESN, they put the ESN into the database and it pulls up the programming instructions/codes. The ESN identifies what type of phone it is: make/model, the ESN will determine the codes needed to unlock the program screen and how to access it. Verizon, if i recall uses a universal code. While Sprint uses Handset specific. I used to work for Sprint programming phones for network use all day. That's why I know the process, unless its changed in the last couple yrs of course.

Also, I dont watch movies on my device. But I love looking at pictures. and the contrast/screen quality is MOST important when looking at static images. No one (especially me) is trying to say that a phone is supposed to be a perfect all in one. I only look at my images on my phone, everything is captured with my CL80, which I keep with me. I can send the pics to my phone via bluetooth from the camera itself, without a computer.
That piece of non essential information aside, when you compare the i4 screen to the AMOLED on the Focus, or captivate for that matter - sure the pixel density is less, but the color saturation is MARKEDLY better on the samsungs. And not in the overly edited way either, much like the iphone's HDR setting (the worst joke played on consumers, ever). Apple thinks that adding bloom to photos is supposed to pass for true HDR.
