I have a brand new iphone right now and want to unlock it. How can I update to version 1.0.2 (not the 1.1.1) and start from that point on?

why would you want to unlock now when it may brick your phone!

I'm runing 1.1.1 and I had a hacked phone I restored it before I update it and it didn't brick. I'm mad pissed now case I can't degrade case I have a pc. My Freind works at an apple store and he knows how to degrade on a mac only.

uhm u can unlock it now as long as u dont update to 1.1.1

whats so odd about wanting to use an iphone on a diff network.

it doesnt MAKE you update.

it's not like your phone is going to go update itself...you still have to click the update button or click "yes" to the popup "do you want to update?" question...the same goes for itunes. there is no forced update for either itunes or the phone...

Hi,

I just had to erase & re-install my iMac. Crashed!!!!! Anyway, my Mac now has iTunes 6.05.....my iPhone had been acting up too. I would like to restore my iPhone to factory setting. Does anyone have iTunes 7.4.1? Please anyone?

This isn't 1.1.1 unlocked. This is simply DOWNGRADING it to 1.0.2, and THEN unlocking 1.0.2.

Is this what everyone is currently talking about in here is the news on this page? I have not updated itunes in quite awhile. But I am currently an ATT customer I just have a bunch of 3rd party apps on my iphone. If i install this latest update is it going to make my phone inoperable?

I have just unlocked my iPhone. At 1st, it seems working really well, but after awhile I found there is no service. All my phone calls are transferred to my voice mail. I have followed each steps and I unlocked it twice. Still, I must turn on the iPod in order to receive phone calls. Please help!!!
