Actually I've done it on XP too. Though Vista I haven't tried, I do hear a lot of errors on Vista so on that I'll agree with you.

IDK, maybe I'm doin' it wrong. I haven't checked for a conflict with my anti-virus yet. You use a different one, so maybe that's the problem. All the other tips on their site I tried though.

I've been using vista for 1 year .... never had a problem with iTunes

Ive had a problem with everything else though. lol xD

Oh, could be but I don't think so. Really what will have you literally invincible to viruses is ESET Smart Security or Kaspersky Internet Security. Also along with Spybot Search & Destroy. Any of those two plus Spybot is immunization...

So far for each of the viruses I got I, restarted the computer and UAC asked me if I wanted to run the virus. lol xD fail

I use S S&D. My computer doesn't have enough RAM to be running more background security features than it already does though. Namely, it has 512MB.

AVG's "Resident Shield" feature is pretty cool though. If you try to open something malicious, it warns you then prompts you to delete it. That's definitely enough of a RAM sucker already.

TeaTimer from S S&D uses some RAM. Trade in your AntiVirus for one of the two I mentioned

That's why I have it turned off and just use the immunization button

. It seems to work just fine for me, after the first scan it never found anything. I'll try ur AV I guess though.

Kaspersky has a 30 Day FULL trial. ESET Smart Security too. Try out both. Tell me which you prefer. I personally like Kaspersky and Coolguy742 YEAH! Lol

^ I hate any of those internet security programs..... tried one, one time and said forget that! They can really screw up a computer and a newbie...
