Untethered Jailbreak by Christmas?

A now-you-see-it, now-you-don't tweet from @MuscleNerd has again raised hopes that we'll see an untethered 4.2.1 jailbreak by Christmas. Having responded to someone asking about the JB that Christmas was "an achievable deadline," he then deleted the tweet, leaving open questions as to whether he thought that was too confident a statement.

Earlier this month, @comex had promised a untethered jailbreak by Christmas in a tweet. Soon thereafter, @MuscleNerd showed off a video of just such a jailbreak that used "mysterious 4.2b3 hashes Cydia kept for you." In a tweet announcing the video, @MuscleNerd called it a "backup plan" to the more extensible jailbreak @comex is working on.

In any case, it looks like the Dev-Team guys are feeling confident about their progress, so chances are good that we'll see an untethered jailbreak for 4.2.1 in our stocking sometime in the week to come.

this would be great... I am using 4.2.1 non-jb.. the first time I have used an iphone for more than a day without a jb... it's ok for now but looking forward to getting my themes (and more) back..

OK but Antid0te isnt a jailbreak. You first need to be jailbroken to install Antid0te either from cydia or from one of the jailbreaks the dev team develops.

I might be getting an i4 for christmas and it will most likely come with 4.2.1 on it so I hope this gets finished before so that as soon as i open it my jailbreak will be awaiting.

It would be cool, but it is not like we are stuck right now. I have a tethered jailbreak on i4 4.2.1 but it does not make a difference. I never turn the phone off so works exactly the same as my wife's on 4.1. I have never needed the untethered so far in a couple off weeks, phone still on!

Well I reboot frequently so ill stick with an untethered 4.1 till 4.2 is unterthered. I dont know how people can stand the tethered jailbreak.
