Mod Your Microscope with iPhone 4 Accessory

Conjuring images of an on-the-go mad scientist who needs a mobile microscope to hatch evil plans wherever his Apple-friendly laboratory is located, the new iPhone 4 60X Microscope will hopefully be used primarily for good (I have an active imagination, okay?). What isn't imaginary, of course, is this very real - and very unconventional - iPhone 4 accessory that is now available for purchase.
Courtesy of the folks at Brando, the iPhone 4 Microscope comes with a white LED for use "under Dim/Dark environment," and also a note detector LED for "watching the water mark of the paper note." Other practical uses for this accessory? Not sure there are many - at least not until Apple releases the iLaboratory for the aforementioned mad scientist. But Brando advertises the unorthodox iPhone Microscope as a great way to "have more fun" with your iPhone 4.
If you're wondering, the iPhone 4 Microscope costs $17.50 and is available now through Brando's online digital storefront. Although the makers don't suggest affixing the attachment to the iPhone 4's front facing camera, doing so could make FaceTime conversations a lot more up close and personal.

Useless. The casing only covers half the phone.

Unless the average person is a coin collector.

This would come in very handy to see details needed for proper grading. Especially if one is trying to see if a coin has been doctored.

Gotta have it to save the poor colera suffering people in sudan. There is a program that is used to check blood samples and have it checked for certain diseases. There was a program where people could buy one and the software and donate it to "Doctors without borders". I bought 2 and hope it helps. It was set up for the iphone 3. Maybe someday i will buy myself one. $3.95 is a heck of a lot cheaper than then, but then again, i was also paying for the software.

Looks promising. I might buy it for my project, but I'd like to see some evidence of it ;p
