I don't think ios4 will ever run smooth on iPhone 3g I've tried from 4 -4.1 I've also tried 4.2. Gm it's a bit better at somestuff but still not worth the update stay at 3.13 peeps
Yes iam a noob to this site but I've read it daily for a longtime great little blog

I honestly dont know how anyone can still be using a 3G. I'm using an iPhone 4 right now. 2 people at work have 3G's and whenever they ask me to do or show them something on their 3G its SO PAINFUL. I cant believe how slow it is after using the iPhone 4. And its not the OS. One is on 4.1 and the other is still on 3.x.MacBook Pro i7

I can't see how it'll be faster or smoother. Best bet to stay at 3.13 tbh.
Your mom has "spirit" but I used my "pwnage tool" on her all night long and "ultrasn0wed" all over her. haha

So, about that. I hope Apple is planning to release 4.2 official soon so I can jailbreak it on my iPad and finally FINALLY have the awesome that I've been waiting since April for.

here's why some of us have the 3g:
Because we are under contract and the verizon phone 4 is a few months away. walk from att office across the
street to the verizon office with no
besides..... 4.1 runs fine on my 3g
and all the little upgrades make it palletable for the next few months
Skyfire has also made it even better.
No glitches on this 3G.....

Glad I upgraded, I bet it's faster but did anything get cut?

I love my 3G on 4.1.
The upcoming upgrade is only a good thing with better performance I'm sure.
When's the update hitting us?

i still use my 3G because i got it for $100
all the 3gs owners want $250 at least
i'm on my father's family plan with t-mobile i pay him like $30 a month for my line, i get 700 minutes, 5 faves and unlimited texting
i'm not in a hurry ruin this deal by buying a new phone so bring on the speedy updates for my 3G!

I still have a 3G cause i kept holding out for a white 4. Though, at the rate they're going, i might as well just hold off and get an iPhone 5.
I'd like to see how a 3G holds up on 4.2 and being jailbroken. Non jb is fine, but once it gets weighed down with Winterboard, etc., how responsive will it still be?
